who are we?

Helping Hives incorporates volunteer, scientific research, social and educational opportunities at UMD. Opportunities include planting pollinator gardens, educating the public, learning to beekeep, harvesting honey, increasing the well-being of our bees, and more. We will learn how bees are vital to our planet and the science behind what they do. We plan to create sustainable products from the bees like candles and chapstick. The opportunities are endless and students are able to work on whatever they are passionate about!
